Meet Jason, TV Explorer's award-winning Senior Editor.
Kindergarten graduate. Elementary School graduate. High School graduate. UBC graduate. Vancouver Film School graduate. Need we say more? Jason gets it done. For ten years he was the Senior Video Editor at Cossette Communications - the largest advertising agency in Canada - where he led a team of editors and worked on many award-winning projects for clients such as McDonalds, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Bank of Montreal, Bell, Saab and General Mills. In 2007, he worked on a Fight Network campaign that went on to win a Gold Lion for Campaign at Cannes. With over 15 years of editing, post-production and client-service experience - for some of North America's biggest clients - Jason has worked with a multitude of agencies, production companies, producers, effects houses and directors, art directors and writers - on virtually every kind of video project imaginable. His work includes over three hundred broadcast spots, dozens of animatics, endless commercial adapts, "ripo's," countless brand and promo videos, episodic TV (Comedy Network), trailers, cut-downs, music videos, indie films, documentaries, as well as, viral/web campaigns, motion graphics and digital signage. He's also a talented writer. His natural story-telling abilities have been finely-honed by 15, 30, 45, and 60-second time constraints, so his editing skills are whip-smart and efficient - lean, mean and sharp. No matter the project, you can just give him the brief and relax - his experience has you covered. As a proud e-resident of Estonia, Jason now works with a variety of international clients, both in the EU and the USA.
